1. Information We Process & What Is Never Stored

• Birth Coordinates (Ephemeral In-Memory Calculation Only): When you enter a Date of Birth (DOB), Time of Birth (TOB), and Timezone into the Janma Nakshatra calculator or call /api/calc-nakshatra or POST /mcp, those coordinates are processed ephemerally in-memory via local Swiss Ephemeris (pyswisseph) routines to return your Moon Nakshatra, Pada, and sidereal degree. Birth dates and times are never written to any server database.
• Payment Credentials (Hosted Checkout Only): Paid subscriptions are processed directly by Stripe (USD/Global) or Razorpay / UPI (India). Vedic Terminal never receives, views, or stores your credit card number, CVV, or UPI PIN.
• Optional Web Push Subscription Tokens: If you explicitly enable browser push nudges, your browser's anonymous push endpoint and selected star/market preferences are used solely to deliver the scheduled timing alerts you requested.
• Standard Technical Request Logs: Like every web service, our servers transiently process request metadata (IP address, browser user-agent, route, and timestamp) strictly for rate-limiting, DDoS protection, and operational security.

2. Lawful Basis for Processing (GDPR Art. 6 & India DPDP Act 2023 §6)

Where the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 (DPDP Act) applies, our lawful bases are:

• Performance of a Contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)): To compute and serve the astronomical timing terminal, REST/MCP API responses, and paid subscription features you request.
• Legitimate Interests (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)): To maintain platform security, enforce API rate limits, prevent abuse, and keep non-identifying operational counters.
• Consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a) & India DPDP Act 2023 Section 6): When you voluntarily input birth details for ephemeral calculation or opt into browser push notifications. You may withdraw consent at any time by clearing your browser storage or disabling notifications in your browser settings.

3. Sub-Processors & What We Never Do

We use Railway (application infrastructure in the United States), Stripe (USD billing), and Razorpay (INR/UPI billing) as service providers. We do not sell, rent, broker, or share your personal information with third-party advertisers, and we never use user inputs to train artificial-intelligence or machine-learning models.

4. Cookies & Local Browser Storage

Trade Chakra sets zero third-party advertising cookies, zero behavioral tracking pixels, and zero cross-site fingerprinting scripts. We use your browser's local storage (localStorage) strictly on your own device to remember your chosen Janma Nakshatra, exchange toggle (NSE or US), and Light/Dark theme preference.

5. International Data Transfers

Our infrastructure is located in the United States. If you access Trade Chakra from the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, India, or another jurisdiction, your web requests are transmitted to the United States under Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) and equivalent statutory safeguards.

6. Your Privacy Rights (GDPR, CCPA/CPRA & India DPDP Act)

Depending on your jurisdiction, you have the right to request access to, correction of, deletion/erasure of, or portability of any personal data we hold about you, as well as the right to object to processing or withdraw consent. For California residents under the CCPA/CPRA: we do not "sell" or "share" personal information. Because birth coordinates are never stored on our servers, there is no natal record to delete; to delete a billing or push-notification record or exercise any statutory right, email support@vedicterminal.com. We respond to all verified requests within 30 days.

7. Age Restriction (Adults 18+ Only)

Trade Chakra is a financial-astronomy research utility intended exclusively for adults aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly direct the service to or collect information from children under 13 (COPPA) or minors under 18 (India DPDP Act §9).

8. Changes to This Policy

Material updates to this Privacy Policy will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
